The owner needs someone technical whose only incentive is that the facility actually works at design load. Deployment Oversight puts that person on your side of the table for the duration of the build.
What the engagement covers
Ongoing owner-representative oversight across an AI infrastructure deployment covers vendor and integrator accountability, with claims tested against engineering reality before they are paid for; milestone verification, meaning independent confirmation that each phase is actually complete, not merely invoiced; thermal and power commissioning witness, with presence at the tests that matter, including failure-mode and load-ramp testing, so that sign-off means something; and escalation judgment, meaning knowing when a slip is normal, when it is a warning, and when it requires intervention.

What changes with an owner engineer on site
Without owner oversight, vendor claims are typically accepted as delivered, milestone sign-off follows the invoice schedule, and commissioning shortcuts surface only after the fact, if they surface at all. With Deployment Oversight, vendor claims are tested against engineering reality before payment, milestone verification is independent of the invoice, and the owner's engineer is physically present for the tests that decide whether the facility works.

It pairs naturally with the Liquid-Cooling Design Review, and for retrofit projects sourced through the Retrofit Site Acquisition Advisory, it carries the original conversion plan through to energized, revenue-generating load.
