Ask Vulcan: Grounded Answers, Not Guesses

Grounded answers, not confident guesses

Ask Vulcan answers questions about AI data center infrastructure, cooling, and retrofit economics using only Vulcan AI's own published corpus: the service pages, the insight articles, and the FAQ. It does not draw on open-ended web training data to fill gaps, and it does not invent a capability, a client, or a number to sound more useful. When the corpus does not cover a question, it says so and offers to connect you with Jon directly.

How the grounding actually works

Every question runs through the same pipeline: retrieve the most relevant passages from the corpus, rerank them for actual relevance to the question asked, and generate an answer built only from what was retrieved. The sources behind each answer are shown, not hidden behind a generic disclaimer, so you can check the claim against the source yourself.

What happens when the corpus does not know

An honest gap is worth more than a plausible-sounding guess, especially on questions of engineering credentials and capability. If nothing relevant comes back from the corpus, Ask Vulcan says so directly instead of generating an answer that merely sounds right, and the question itself gets logged so the underlying content can be filled in.

Built for people and for agents

The same grounded answers are available to AI agents acting on behalf of their principals, not only to human visitors. An agent asking on a client's behalf about rack density thresholds or retrofit timelines gets the same sourced answer a person would, because the underlying corpus and rules do not change based on who is asking.
